Design Manager i Stockholm

As a Design Manager at our development studio in Stockholm, you will be a functional manager of our Designers with the overall responsibility for making sure our teams have access to the best people for each game project. You will be part of a team of managers who continuously work together on innovating our Design department, as well as being part of the wider organizational development of a growing company. The department includes Game Designers, Content Designers, and UX Designers. You will not work directly with designing our games but rather focus on managing, growing and coaching employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach and support our designers
• Continuously work on shaping and improving the Design department and make sure it’s aligned with organizational goals
• Fostering an open and trusting environment
• Assure staffing needs are met on our projects
• Performance evaluations & feedback
• Assume employer responsibility handling employee issues that affect the work of employees to ensure a positive work environment

Required qualifications

• Manager experience within a team or department
• Passion for leadership, mentoring and coaching, as well as organizational development
• Experience working in a role that requires a mix of a mind for strategy as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Desirable qualifications

• Experience as Game Designer, UX Designer, or Content Designer

You are comfortable in decision making and can easily anticipate the impact and consequences it will have. You also have experience working in a large organization, and understand the organizational challenges and processes associated with company growth.
