We are responsible for development, maintenance and support of IT and Automation systems that supports Scania’s production units in Europe. We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to our team in Oskarshamn.

Your tasks

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Development and maintenance of automation systems
  • Support of production critical equipment
  • Maintenance of local systems
  • Perform installations of PLC’s, PC’s, Servers etc.
  • Give support to users


Your skills

We believe that you have a relevant education within automation or equivalent knowledge obtained by other experiences. You understand what it means to support a producing unit and enjoy working with various tasks within the area.

You have good knowledge and previous experience working in a support organization for critical automation systems and other equipment related to production. You feel comfortable with PLC/SCADA systems in general and if you have knowledge of products such as Siemens SIMATIC WinCC, Siemens TIA Portal and SQL Server it is even better.

Your abilities

You have good analytic abilities, can find dependencies on an overall level, but you also enjoy digging into details to solve technical issues.

As a person, you take great responsibility, have good social skills, are careful and are quality conscious. While you like to take own initiatives, you also enjoy being a part of a world-class team and can understand that cooperation is a prerequisite for success.

English is our corporate language which you need to master in both speech and writing.
