Global Product Manager i Kungsbacka

This role is part of the Global Product Group Motor Starting & Safety within the Global Business Unit Smart Power. As Global Product Manager, you will join our team based at our lead manufacturing and R&D facility in Kungsbacka Sweden, where you together with your team, will drive the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the ABB offering to targeted market segments, by developing and managing it through all of its life cycle phases.

Your responsibilities

• Leading market intelligence analysis, understanding and defining current market segmentation and related product positioning, including identifying potential gaps in portfolio, both against competition, and new market opportunity.
• For existing portfolio: leading life cycle management process, analyzing current product, defining and tracking performance metrics, planning appropriate measures and making decisions to maximize profitability.
• For new portfolio: development defining new product plans, setting technical, price, cost and capital expenditure targets, leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap and creating maximum value.
• Initiating and driving product market communication strategy in coordination with channel partners as well as Marketing & Sales, R&D to ensure best market coverage.
• Ensuring appropriate training material is available for use both internally and externally.
• Driving annual business planning process and facilitating agreement between sales demand and supply. Monitoring global sales target fulfilment and tender volumes including taking action as appropriate.
• Continuously developing product management processes and tools, acting cross-functional, monitoring the development of standards and having awareness of market trends.

Your background

• As a minimum, you hold a bachelor’s degree within a technical field.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Product Management with good business acumen.
• Being analytical and agile leader and a team player with an independent and solution-oriented working style.
• Structured, ambitious and self-motivated person who is able to grasp the bigger picture with strong customer focus combined with market and competitor awareness.
• You have ability to think strategic and represent the customers voice within the local team.
• Having prior leadership and/ or machine safety development experience are considered a plus.
• You are fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike, whereas knowledge of German and French is meritorious.
