Master Thesis, 30 HP: Analysis of ship dimensional management i Karlskrona

For an efficient production with short lead times during manufacturing and assembly, pre-manufacturing is a must. In order to increase the capacity and the number of articles that can be pre-manufactured, we need to study and optimize dimensional management for the whole boat, arrangement, platform, details, pipes and more.

By studying the dimensional management process, create a process with tools, methods and equipment for design and production, increasing efficiency through increased number of pre-manufactured and prefabricated part.
 

This Master Thesis aims at developing Saab Kockums dimensional management process, deepen reference systems as a integral part of the design process, analyze the manufacturing tolerances capacity in part and pre-manufacturing to a direct fit during the assembly process.
