Our team has the strong mission to simplify the transport operations for our customer. How do we do that? As an example of what we do, using connected data we provide services for tracking of the truck’s position and follow up the driving times of the drivers. Overall we create services used to monitor the goods transport. This is crucial information for the customer in their transportation business.

Your day to day work
You and your team are responsible for all elements of the application development, meaning you’ll be involved in architecture, development, testing, operation etc. Working with such a huge data load, we of course face challenges in operation when processing data. What we do on a day to day basis directly influences the customer’s business, making it very crucial to have our services up and running.

You are encouraged to also work cross functionally within Scania, sharing knowledge within your areas of expertise. When it comes to way of working the team has a lot of freedom. The same when it comes to which tools and technologies to use when building the software. Currently our major technology focus are .Net Core, Python and AWS, common tools are Gitlab and Visual Studio/PyCharm.

In addition to all above we provide in-house innovation days, relevant education, reduced working hours, and the Scania Job Express bus which will bring you from Stockholm to the front door of our office in Södertälje, just to name a few..

We believe you are an experienced developer with a strong belief that coding is just a tool for reaching high business value. As a person you appreciate the purpose and practices of agile. You are curious as a person and of course you value good teamwork and are open to pair- and mob programming. A big plus if you are interested in driving scrum master similar activities to help your team.
