Marketing & Communication is a global department that exists of 450 employees at the Head Office in Stockholm and supports all 72 markets around the world. The department has the strategic and operational responsibility to build the H&M brand, internally and externally when it comes to brand awareness, attraction and loyalty. The department constantly drives change making sure that H&M’s communication is customer oriented, relevant and aligned with our brand DNA. Our talented employees ensure that we, through modern and relevant communication, acquire and retain customers and fans. 


Marketing & Communication will during autumn 2019 work in a new task based organizational setup to better meet future requirements. We are now looking for a Country Support team member focusing on local organizational strategy, recruitment and training.


What you will do
As Country Support with organizational focus, you will be supporting our approx. 50 local Marketing departments when it comes to organizational recommendation, recruitment and training. You will be a part of the Country Support team with 6 other team members and you will report to Head of Country Support. Since you will be supporting the local offices, some occasional travels might be a part of the role. Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support recruitment of local Marketing Managers and if required, other local Marketing roles, for example by providing role descriptions, briefing local HR teams or recruitment agencies about the Marketing profile requirements, CV screening, provide case examples and participate in final interviews
  • Create recommendations on local organizational setup and role descriptions for local Marketing roles
  • Have knowledge and overview of local Marketing teams
  • Set, develop and update training program for Marketing Managers and teams 
  • Responsible for the Mentoring program
  • Internal control responsible: Make sure all necessary Marketing Internal Controls get conducted (even if done by other Country Support team members) and summarized each year 
  • Together with the rest of the Country Support team, responsible for planning Country Meetings and other forums where important information is shared with local markets

Who we are looking for

As a person we believe that you are interested in fashion retail, marketing and people. You will proactively involve and co-create with different stakeholders, therefore high emotional intelligence, leadership qualities, excellent communication and team collaboration skills are crucial. To be successful in this role we believe you have:
  • A bachelor’s degree within HR, marketing or similar
  • 10 years of relevant work experience, some being within international executive search or similar 
  • Experience in introduction of new team members and preferably also competence development 
  • An analytic and strategic mindset; quickly sees the overall picture  
  • Well-organized, able to work independently, cope with large workload, prioritize and plan ahead 
  • It is an advantage that you have experience within H&M in HR or similar, especially as local Marketing or Communications Manager
  • Fluency in English, orally and written, is a must
