Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Autonomous vehicles, connectivity and electro mobility challenge Scania´s R&D organisation in a new way. To ensure highest quality and functional safety of our products we are focusing on improvements within Scania´s development processes, methods and IT-systems.
We must meet future needs regarding digitalisation to ensure functional safety and be competitive by improving the workflow of approximately one thousand people working with development of Scania’s Electrical/Embedded systems within R&D. We are facing a very exciting transformation towards a more flow driven working process with agile methods and high performing self-organizing teams.
Within the section we aim to streamline our deliveries and scale our agile way of working. By help of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) we are defining value streams and Agile Release Trains.
Your role is to coordinate and facilitate the Agile Release Train events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value.
You will communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive improvement.
You will also assist with project management in projects where tool support is needed and agile release train has not yet been defined.
As Release Train Engineer we are looking for someone who:
You will work closely with the developers but also with stakeholders within the R&D organisation to understand the need and requirements on the tools. You will interact with the IT department to secure support from an IT perspective.
You are happy working in a team, but are also capable of working independently when required. You are an accomplished communicator with good social skills. You adapt easily to and dare to drive change.
By joining us, you will take part of an exciting journey towards higher level of digitalisation enabling safe and efficient vehicles, and a better and more creative workflow for Scania´s engineers.
