Valuation Specialist, Group Valuation Operations i Stockholm

Group Valuation Operations is the leading competence center for executing independent valuation within Swedbank and we operate through our analytical- and valuation- capabilities.

As a Valuation Specialist within Group Valuation Operations you are expected to master and execute Swedbank's official valuation methodology including fair value adjustments and prudent valuation. Your main responsibility will be to deliver insights in the reporting of PnL, fair value adjustment and prudent valuation which requires data scientist capabilities where the combination of mathematical understanding and programming skills is of utmost importance.

In addition to your main responsibility you will support the team with quality assuring of market, ad-hoc and projects related initiatives within the field of valuation. Furthermore you will be involved in the journey to develop the valuation area within Swedbank.

As an individual you are analytical and structured with a passion for financial instruments with a great deal of out-of-the-box thinking. You are comfortable when communicating both in Swedish and English with our stakeholders.

In addition, we would like you to have:

• MSc in Engineering and/or Mathematics with a strong financial and mathematical profile
• Excellent understanding of financial instruments across all assets, especially with regards to valuation methodology and how to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical use
• Good knowledge of relevant external regulations, such as IFRS 13, CRR etc.
• Previous documentation experience of complex models and processes is a merit
• Good understanding of the financial industry, especially banking

You have 3-5 years of experience from a similar valuation- or risk control function.

This position provides excellent opportunity to gain better understanding of the valuation area but also to develop your analytical skills. This role could be a step-stone to future roles within the area of valuation or different analytical positions with in the bank
