Thesis work in business model design i Alingsås

You will be a part of the Product management team and also work together with marketing & sales. Product management are accountable for managing the product portfolio to ensure long term growth and profitability of the product offering. At ABB Alingsås we are developing and manufacturing enclosures, busbars and fusegear for low voltage distribution boards and cable distribution cabinets.

We invite one or two students to investigate the future business model for low voltage products in the electrical utility market. We see a global trend where companies in general strive to reduce CAPEX investments and instead pay for the service provided. Is it a leasing or “power by the hour” business model that is our future, and how could it then be set up? Or are there other models that would be more suitable to optimize our value to customers?

• The thesis is 30ECTS and to be started during Q1 2020
• The thesis can be for one or two students
• The thesis work can be carried out on our site in Alingsås or remotely at university
