Om tjänsten
Category: Computer Science, Physics, Engineering Physics.
Scope: 1-2 students completing 30 credits (20 weeks) each.
Background
The needs and demands for multi-sensor panorama cameras is growing rapidly. It provides a unique view of the scene with its wide angle and high pixel density. The end image is produced by stitching the images from the different sensor modules together into one uniform image and create a “one camera” experience. To achieve the “one camera” experience it is of highest importance that the images from the different sensor modules are perceived as equivalent to eachother when observe a object during equal light environment. The fact remains that the different sensor modules is hardware that might vary between individuals and give the image a slightly varying experience between these individuals.
Goal
The goal of this master thesis is to investigate the possibility to correct for a color difference between different sensor modules. A correction model shall be designed and implemented. Images from existing panorama cameras shall be collected in varying scenes. The model shall be tested and evaluated upon the data sets of images. The model should also be evaluated against existing solutions.
