Om tjänsten

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Are you eager to develop your leadership skills and to streamline software development? Then this is the job for you!

The Engine System Software group is responsible for the complete engine management system. We perform a wide range of cross-functional work within Scania, as well as with other manufacturers in the Group. We are responsible for many of the tools and processes used in the development of the engine management system.

The group is now looking for an additional SW Release Manager and Build Engineer.

Your role
Work tasks are varied and challenging as the role are split into two parts, SW Release Manager and Build Engineer.

As SW Release Manager, you will be at the heart of a team of project managers, the test organisation and the software development teams. In collaboration with other members of the organisation, you will coordinate the timing for new software releases. You will define and improve development processes in close collaboration with the development groups and ensure that these processes are followed. You will also be responsible for our change control board.

The second role as Build Engineer (or Technical SW-CM) involves ownership of systems for version management and document automation, as well as responsibilities within a Continuous Integration environment. The position also entails development and comprehensive testing of the software. Modularisation and automation are keywords for us.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with an MSc in Engineering or someone with equivalent knowledge of data, embedded systems and/or performance management. You have good communication skills, are organised and self-motivated. You are good at leading and following up on technical work in a large international organisation. We think you have a good understanding and experience in programming. Experience in Jenkins, Python, Jira and C# is also an advantage.

We offer
Exciting work in a very large system in broad cooperation with many talented employees.

In addition to excellent career and development opportunities, Scania offers a range of other benefits, such as membership at Scania’s own Gröndal wellness center/gym, performance bonuses, pension, flexible work hours, reduced-cost lunch, employee car and much more. We also offer a direct bus service between Stockholm Central Station and Södertälje by way of Liljeholmen on the Scania Job Express, for a fast and comfortable commute.
