3D Surface Artist – Freelance in-house, with possibility to a permanent contract

The H&M Head Office is based in Stockholm, Sweden, where we design and develop our fashion collections for a wide variety of customers. H&M is a dynamic workplace where high pace and rapid changes are a natural part of our day. Good communication skills, a flexible attitude and capacity to adapt to changes are essential.

As a 3D Surface Artist, you will work closely with the 3D product support team. You will work with a small team of experts across multiple disciplines and help build our digital asset library by creating high quality textures and material profiles for our product collections.

• Has 1-3 years of experience in 3D Surface Design and 3D modeling for furniture, automotive design, industrial design, textile design or related fields. Experience from the fashion or textile industry is a bonus.
  

• Have experience with, Vizoo xTex, Substance, photoshop or similar software programs.
  

• Have knowledge from working with Marvelous Designer, CLO3D, Browzwear or similar cloth-based simulation software programs.
  

• Can create high quality photorealistic textures suited for 3D models.
  

• Have a proven ability in 3D modeling and texturing demonstrated in your portfolio.
  

• Enjoys teamwork and have good communication skills.
  

• Likes a fast-paced work environment.
  

• Is driven and used to taking own initiatives.
  

• Is highly organized and able to prioritize with excellent attention to detail.

• Creating digital material assets by producing photorealistic, high quality, fabric textures and physical properties for product development models.
  

• Work with core and specialist fabrics to build a component library for product collections.
  

• Follow standard scanning and editing process consistently and checking details for accuracy.
  

• Actively seek feedback and suggest improvements where needed.
  

• Collaborating cross-functionally with all team disciplines and address questions, changes or clarifications.
