HEAD OF DRIVER SYSTEMS, HMI FUNCTIONS i Sodertalje

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

The Driver system organisation is facing major challenges where a complete new digital driver cockpit will be developed, we call the project Digital Driver Workplace. As head of HMI (Human Machine Interface) Functions, you will together with your colleagues and senior engineers in the organisation set the direction for Scania’s driver cockpit in the future.

The goal for us is to shorten lead time to customer offer as customer expectations change quickly. To do so, we use agile methods where we deliver frequently and with built-in flexibility. We develop the functions with the customer in focus.

Your tasks
You are responsible for strategically shaping, leading and developing the team as well as driving the HMI functions in a favourable direction for the customer. The team works from idea to customer delivery, which entails requirements, implementation and testing. The development will take place both internally and together with suppliers.

However, your primary task is to give the employees the right conditions in their daily work. You are also part of the management team, where you actively contribute to developing the entire organisation.

Your profile
We are looking for a engaged person with managerial experience, who has the will and ability to develop employees, product and process through a motivating and engaging leadership. You like to create the right conditions to help your employees achieve results on time. You need to have the ability to switch between technical details and see the whole with customer benefit, strategy and cost.

You should have the ability to interact and create trust and be clear in your communication with others. You also come from a technical academic background and have experience in software development, either within embedded systems or other areas with continuous software releases (eg IT).
