Scania Finans AB is a financial services company within the business area Scania Financial Services. We offer financing and insurance of Scania products through our seven branches in the Nordic and Baltic countries. With a customer finance portfolio that exceeds 15 billion SEK, Scania Finans AB is the largest financial services company within Scania. The company has around 100 employees, of which half are located at the headquarters in Södertälje.

Job description

As our current Finance Manager is leaving for new challenges outside Scania, we are now looking for the replacement. The main areas of responsibility for the Finance Manager are accounting and reporting, financial planning, financial- and business control and treasury. The Finance Manager is heading the finance department of Scania Finans AB, consisting of three directly reporting Business Controllers and one directly reporting Head of Accounting and Reporting, who manages a team of Financial Controllers. The Finance Manager reports to the Deputy Managing Director.

The Finance Manager is a business partner to the Scania Finans AB organization, Scania Commercial Operations and customers, strongly focused on and supporting portfolio growth, profitability, return on equity, cash management and competitive cost of funding.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Lead the team within the finance department based on Scania core values and Leadership principals, coaching and development
  • Focus on strategic planning and provide insight beyond financial based performance
  • Financial planning, controlling and Scania group reporting of seven HFM business units
  • Managing the company’s funding
  • Development and follow-up of financial policies and processes supporting both the financing and insurance business
  • Development and implementation of the company´s systems, related to general ledger, contract handling and BI-tools
  • Active participation in governance, risk and compliance framework implementation
  • Measure and control business risk through an effective financial risk management framework
  • Ensure internal control processes
  • Responsible for contact with external auditors and authorities
  • Participate in key decisions to achieve the company’s goals
  • Participate in any change process with regard to new or modified products and services.

The position is located at Scania Finans headquarter in Södertälje and requires active cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, Scania Financial Services Business control and Scania Group reporting in Södertälje, suppliers, tax authorities, auditors, banks, legal advisors, tax advisors.

The position will involve some travelling to Scania Finans markets.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has a high level of personal integrity, is driven and self-motivated. You should have previous management experience and a strong interest in developing and improving processes. In order to be successful in this position you will need to have a proven knowledge of IFRS, experience preferably from a Scania Financial Services company or from other parts of Scania. Your skills and formal qualifications should preferably include:

  • Highly developed leadership and communication skills and co-operative
  • Experience from senior and leading Finance positions
  • A university degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration
  • Experience in financial group reporting and funding
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with strategic thinking
  • Interested in developing the business and the employees
  • Corporate governance, compliance and strong ethical values
  • Customer orientation and value chain focus
  • Professional fluency in English as well as Swedish

You are an open minded and dedicated person who is motivated by engaging others and is always striving to improve. You are excited by challenges and are not afraid of continuously changing circumstances to which you will need to adapt.
