You will be part of Grid Automation Products, a business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division that is responsible for the development, marketing and sale and manufacturing of products for protection and control for generation, trunk networks and regional network applications. The unit's product offer consists of IEDs in the Relion® 670/650 series. The unit also offers services such as training to ensure customers get the maximum return on their investment in ABB protection and control solutions.

• Working with advanced and highly important products enabling a better world as they facilitate an even more reliable power supply
• Managing various development assignments
• Leading larger product development projects with activities within power system applications, software and hardware
• Managing areas such as user documentation, production and marketing communication
• Our projects are executed according to our stage-gate model, whereas our development activities are made in the light of agile and lean
• Taking part in further developing our ways of working

• A master’s degree in computer science, mechanical, electronic engineering or equivalent
• Proven experiences and documented results from Project Management within R&D
• At least 3 years’ experience from managing product development projects
• Experience from agile development methods, lean product development and stage-gate models is highly valued
• If you have worked with product development of software intense embedded systems and products, or operated in a global organization with distributed development, it will be to your advantage
• Skills in project and visual planning as well as scheduling tools are valued
• You can challenge weak performance and structure the project organization to maximize throughput
• You get energized from working in a global environment with different cultures to accomplish the change desired for delivering the results
• A team player with holistic view, high integrity and the skills needed to manage constantly challenging and changing targets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
• Ability to effectively delegate assignments and establish strong collaborations both within and outside your team
• Fluency in English is a must, whereas Swedish is qualifying
