Join ABB as a BIM (Building Information Modelling) Specialist in the Power Grids division and work in a team which is dedicated to creating a future, where innovative digital technologies bring cleaner energy to more people.

You will be part of HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current), a business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. 

Your responsibilities

• BIM modeling and content creation including 3D/4D/5D models.
• Leading project BIM and Model coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gathering all disciplines BIM models including civil and performing coordination tasks.
• Conducting 3D design Reviews, clash-detection and conflict resolution.
• Managing and assisting in the coordination efforts of all parties involved in the project including: owners, architects/engineers, consultants, contractors.
• Managing BIM content development for projects.
• Creating 3D renderings and animations.
• Coordinating electronic information transfer and integrity of the Common Data Environment.
• Supporting project team by managing and creating content library files and templates, creating and enforcing standards and evaluating project models.
• Acting as the main point of contact for BIM technology and any related issues between the construction managers, subcontractors, owners, design team, and others as required.
• Aiding in the preparation and revisions of project budgets, estimates, and construction schedules.
• Preparing periodic progress reports regarding the status of projects as required by Management.
• Good communication skills to resolve design issues among the various participants.
• Liaison with clients and other consultants regarding BIM standards/processes, and document project BIM standards/processes for distribution to the project team.

Your background

• You have knowledge of BIM related platforms such as BIM 360, AutoCad, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
• Previous experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) Management, Coordination and Information Management.
• Good communication skills to resolve design issues among the various participants.
• Liaison with clients and other consultants regarding BIM standards/processes, and document project BIM standards/processes for distribution to the project team.
• Problem solving mindset.
• English is mandatory. Other languages an advantage.
