HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within ABB’s Power Grids division located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This ABB developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems.

You will be a member of a team dedicated to our delivery projects. Where we deliver complete C&P systems according to customer specifications.

• Creating functional descriptions for our customized control and implement them.
• Working with detailed design, system integration and test-based development.
• Performing verification tests on our control and protection systems during Factory System Tests and during commissioning at site.

• We are looking for university degree within Power Systems Area.
• Experience in HVDC control systems is an advantage.
• Prior knowledge of calculations and settings of HVDC protections or AC relays is an advantage.
