We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join and grow our Content Platform engineering teams in London, New York and Stockholm.

What you’ll do
- You will develop, hire and enable incredible engineering leaders and scale our team.
- You will lead technology, delivery, innovation, and business impact of an engineering team of over 100 engineers and managers by end 2020.
- You will be accountable for the technology strategy in support of the business goals, mission and tribe product strategies.
- You will lead collaboration with other engineering teams and represent Content Platform Technology across different forums within Spotify.
- You will work with your team to develop and execute on a long-term technology roadmap.
- Responsible for growing a healthy, collaborative engineering and product development culture in line with our values.
- Accountable for the growth and development of the engineering function and its team members.

- You have a broad engineering background and have deep experience in complex, high-performance systems, preferably in streaming media.
- You have experience in building, delivering and managing products or services across the full product lifecycle, from early discovery, MVP, launch, large scale build-out, subsequent migrations and sunsetting.
- You have experience working across a complex and evolving product set, working in close collaboration with product, design and product insights teams, and peers, using product discovery and hypothesis-driven product development.
- You have a proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization and in a variety of contexts.
- You understand and value bringing joy and a sense of creativity to your day-to-day.
- You have strong communication skills and can navigate an ever-evolving matrixed organization across multiple offices/time zones where priorities are often in competition.
- You will be based either in New York, London or Stockholm and you are open to travel from time-to-time and capable of leading remote teams as effectively as those you work on-site with.
This role will report directly to the Head of Content Platform and will be a member of the Content Platform leadership team
