We're looking for a student in Embedded systems engineering (4th or 5th year of studies) to help our team develop our main product. Your main task will be to transform our MVP into a deliverable product. It's preferred that the internship is a part of your studies (or your thesis), with the possibility that the Hollbium Loop could be your thesis and a nice start for your future work portfolio! The Hollbium Loop is a smart indoor farming unit, where we offer farming-as-a-service to businesses.
The Thesis Project
We want you who’s passionate about new & disruptive sustainable development, and shares our mindset of improving sustainable technologies. At Hollbium, we get things right from the start, by being climate neutral (and possibly even climate positive). This demands twisting and turning every option, evaluating every decision, and mapping the effects. We are now looking for a student to improve the quality of the technological part of our product:
We are looking for someone who understands embedded systems, PCB/ Schematic design
Have knowhow of firmware development and programming of microcontroller such as ARM, IOT
Understanding of communication protocol such as I2C, SPI, Bluetooth etc
Ability to read sensor datasheets and calibrate sensors accordingly
Participate in the entire application development lifecycle which involves going through the iterative processing of coding, testing, debugging etc.
Understanding of version control system such as GIT
Project details:
PCB/Schematic Design
The student will be involved in generating schematic from current system. Converting the schematic to a PCB design with a specific dimension. The student will also be involved in sourcing and recommending replacement of components which will improve the overall system design and make it more efficient.
Sensor Calibration/Placement
As part of the internship the student will also be involved in understanding the working of different sensors and its behavior under different environment conditions. The student will be involved in performing different experiments to develop better calibration strategies.
Through this project the student will get exposure to analyze and develop a system that would impact the future product of Hollbium.
Hollbium offers flexible schedules, amazing co-workers, participation in start-up events and a central location in one of the most popular co-working spaces in Stockholm. And we have our own barista offering amazing cappuccinos ;-)
