Älmhult is a strategic business location for Inter IKEA Group, carrying the heritage of IKEA and our culture & values. Älmhult is today a workplace for in total 5 200 IKEA co-workers. 

To strengthening our position for the future IKEA Property AB is since September 1st 2018 the owner of Inter IKEA properties in Älmhult. With sustainable thinking, our aim is to generate profitability throughout the entire life cycle of the property. In this role you have the possibility to influence and contribute to the development of IKEA in Älmhult to be a great place to work.

We have the responsibility to manage the properties to keep their asset value and to develop them further. We have many years of experience within the area and are organized with different competences for both facility and property development. IKEA Property AB is a company within Inter IKEA Group and a subsidiary to IKEA Älmhult AB.

Job Description

About the role
To fulfill the business needs of all Inter IKEA Group companies in Sweden we plan for building projects from start to finish, optimise and develop our business locations. Other responsibilities include all permitting, negotiations, physical and cost aspects relating to the detailed design and construction phases of projects.

Project Controller is a key function in supporting the company towards optimal business performance, control in investment and construction projects. Project Controller also plays an important role in identifying business improvement potential, sharing best practice and performance analysis. The role is also responsible for controlling and monitoring the financial and administrative aspects of the projects and being involved in achieving cost and efficiency goals.

As mentioned before, we are a young organization and there will be possibilities to influent the business and to be a part of development of both the organisation and the set-up for the role. As a Project Controller you work close together with Business Navigation.
The property organization today consists of 27 people among specialists, project leaders and leaders within the area of facility and project development.


About you
This could be a great opportunity for you to develop and contributing in strengthening the financial capabilities. You are strategic, analytical and tactical, and have the perspective of both Business & People.

You communicate in a clear and inspiring way, and you lead by example in your everyday work.

You are eager to take initiative and driven to achieve results with people. You enjoy developing IKEA through innovation and by building relationships and networks.

We expect that you have at least 3-5 years of working experience and been working with accounting, controlling and project controlling. You have a Finance degree or a Construction engineering degree from University or similar and working experience within the construction industry, property development or any other relevant real estate business. Your current role may be Project Controller or Business Navigator.

You speak and write fluently both in Swedish and English.
