Job Description

Within IKEA Communications, multiple new Communication Assignment Areas have been set up with the purpose to lead and develop, with an end-to-end accountability, state of the art IKEA communication to the lowest possible cost.  

Now we are looking for a Commercial & Promotion Leader (or a Leader for New Business and Commercial Opportunities as we call in the headline) who will represent and showcase the full communication development offer from IKEA Communications. Enabling IKEA Communications to support all IKEA Trademark users by taking on agile, small and big communication assignments for new business, market specific, projects and full campaigns strengthening the IKEA Brand and impact the business. 

As a Commercial & Promotion Leader you will be the spearhead for IKEA Communications by identifying new business and new commercial opportunities across the IKEA eco-system that can be supported by IKEA Communications, IKEAs global communication partner. Secure a steady inflow of new assignments (big or small), delivering tailor-made communication solutions; including complete communication assets and packages, be it in the form of pictures, films, 3D and home furnishing solutions for multichannel usage (offline, digital and in-store), among others.  

You will work with and have following responsibilities: 

  • Engage in different forums across IKEA and IKEA trademark partners, identifying and seizing commercial opportunities as liaison for IKEA Communications, highlighting the IKEA Brand and business benefits of working with IKEA Communications 
  • Develop new business opportunities for IKEA Communications 
  • Secure a steady inflow of new assignments (big or small) that contribute to a sustainable business agenda and ICOM’s overall long-term ambitions. 
  • Scope new opportunities, partnerships, potential innovations, process integrations and/or digital transformations that create long-term value for ICOM and further strengthens its value proposition towards our business stakeholders, partners and customers. 
  • Meet the needs of today and tomorrow by contributing to the changes needed to stay at the forefront of the customer journey and consumer experiences through emerging new trends, technologies and communication methods. 
  • Develop a strong an up-to-date network in the IKEA eco-system, branding IKEA Communications as the global communication partner for the whole of IKEA. 
  • Challenge current ways of working and take lead in securing a continuous development and innovation of optimal communication methods, tools, processes and solutions. 

Qualifications

You create and deliver business value relating to the field of communication and for brand. You have senior experience and passion for promotion and selling, always with our customers needs on your mindset. You are a goal and delivery-oriented team player who enjoys both high level strategic and hands on work. And of course, you are an ambassador, living and sharing IKEAs culture and strong values. 

Furthermore we believe you have: 

  • Experience developing communication for large business/brands within retail, communication or media industry. 
  • Experience developing new business and commercial opportunities that deliver sustainable and economic value to the organization. 
  • Understanding of customer journey, how they consume and experience communication. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of today’s multi-channel landscape, market and industry trends. 
  • Basic understanding of the product and range development process.  
  • Understanding of how business, marketing, insights, and communication integrate.
