Designer Auxiliary Power i Ludvika

You will be part of Power Grids and HVDC. HVDC develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on the global market. The technology is used to transfer electrical energy over long distances and for power transmission when using undersea cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. HVDC Light was developed by ABB and is now highly requested on the market. The technology is suitable for power systems where overhead lines cannot be used or where power grids need to be strengthened. HVDC Light is also used for offshore connections of platforms and wind power farms and is a great answer on today’s need for environmentally friendly solutions.

• We are looking for a designer for Auxiliary Power systems, equipment and 3D-modelling of station service building and cable ways.
• System design, selectivity studies, equipment specification, cable and cable transit systems are part of the scope.
• You will ensure that our deliveries are time and cost efficient, without compromising on quality.
• You will work close with our competence groups and as well as manage contacts with other departments and external suppliers.
• You will have a large global network and be part of a stimulating work environment that offers many opportunities to professional growth.
• In this position you can work both in Ludvika or Västerås.

• You are an experienced technician that wants to take the next step in career and focus on the design part.
• Experience, especially within auxiliary power or selectivity studies or leading installation/commissioning of low voltage is a benefit.
• Knowledge of CAD-tools that handle electrical circuit diagrams and layouts ensures you being of success.
• Engineering Base for electrical drawings and NX/Teamcenter for 3D-modelling is a merit.
• You are fluent in both spoken and written in English and Swedish.
• You are used to managing several tasks simultaneously, without losing the overall perspective.
• You are ready for some travelling for customer and supplier meetings as well as site supervision.
• You are a person who brings a lot of energy into the group and has a natural ability to make crucial decisions.
