Project Manager to HVDC, ABB Power Grids i Ludvika

You will be part of HVDC within the Power Grids division in Sweden. The HVDC technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used, among other things, to transmit power over long distances with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

We are now hiring a Project Manager to work with HVDC’s projects. The projects are global and multidisciplinary, where the size of projects varies from 100-500 million euros. Apply now if you want to join a global team who works in the forefront of technology!

This role will be based in either Ludvika or Västerås, depending on the candidate’s preferences

• Take the Project Management responsibility of a specific scope of work in a large and complex project
• Supporting the Project Director in leading a global team of experienced professionals and experts in their domains
• Design the specific project scope implementation strategy, support the development of the project plans and continuously support the update them to ensure alignment with the project’s progress
• Contribute to continuous growth by adopting best practices, seeking improvement opportunities and further developing our way of executing projects
• Support line managers in overseeing team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution
• Lead and coach the project team for the specific scope inside the large project and be responsible for ensuring that all activities are made according to policies, quality standards and financial target, keeping a great attention to the details

• Solid experience of working with large and complex projects, preferably in a global environment
• Clear focus on organizational leadership over subject matter expertise
• A high level of results orientation, attention to details, intercultural sensitivity & effectiveness and the required leadership competencies
• You will be working in a business with top of the edge technology and therefore we see it as a plus if you have experience from similar businesses and/or have knowledge and interest within the technical area
• Flexibility and an open mindset are important features to be successful in this role
• Previous ABB-experience is considered a plus
