Data Analyst/Data Modeler, Stockholm

Welcome to the Nordea Finance, Data and Analytics team, which is a newly formed Nordic unit. Data Management and Analytics play a critical role in realizing our overall company strategy of embracing data – our times Gold. Data and Analytics team is chartered to build the capability to help our internal business, but also external stakeholders derive the true value from well-managed and good quality data.

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about data and understands the path for applying advanced analytics & big data techniques to solve real-world problems for Nordea Finance. You will be a greater contributor to managing the in Nordea Finance on a global level with Hadoop technologies, as well as understanding the source data. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Gain knowledge of data on a global level, and creatively invent global and harmonized solutions of data management and actionable business insights
• Creating reports in Power BI and/or other reporting tools
• Ad-hoc datamining, data modelling and analytics
• Exploring and driving creation of data unification patterns and common data models
• Modelling data from the base sources in Hadoop towards unified data models
• Collaborating with business as well as IT side on initiatives to understand requirements, data flows and transform the business needs and roadmap to architectural plans
• Collaborating with the development teams to communicate data models and architectural decisions, identify and resolve technical impediments in relation to plans around data assets, applications and data handling.

You’ll join a global team that follows Agile Safe model. The role is based in Stockholm.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• Proactive, driving, self-going and eager to learn new skills by your own
• Drive complex initiatives that you also communicate fluently with stakeholders, both from IT and business side
• Have a strong data management background
• Data modelling experience, dimensional design and data transformation.
• Experienced in the overall Data and Analytics area and a background in classic Business Intelligence or similar
• Understanding of customer and partner business and IT environments
• Experience in various BI/statistical tools (Example: Alteryx , Power BI, R, Python, SQL etc.)
• Preferred experience in Hadoop stack technologies
• Quick learner, open to learn new skills by your self
