About this opportunity

Welcome to IT Release Management. We add value by securing that our releases are of high standard and our DevOps teams are equipped with all the best practices needed to maintain best-in-class services for our customers. As a Senior Release Process Owner, you will be responsible for providing state-of-the-art processes that support speed and agility which will be key to the success of our DevOps strategy. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and be fully responsible for the Release Management process for Nordea
  • Define the strategy and governance alongside other IPC processes
  • Develop the process so it remains relevant and aligned with our DevOps strategy.
  • Drive the adoption and implementation of the release process across the bank.
  • Collaborate with our business, development, operations and infrastructure teams in defining purpose fit processes
  • Gather insight from Release and Change Managers to develop and improve the process.
  • Maintain the IT Release Process portal and corresponding policy documentation.
  • Provide training and coaching support to our release management community.
  • Set clear targets in meeting  Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide visibility to stakeholders, auditors and regulatory authorities when needed
  • Ensure that the Release process is embedded in other delivery models (SDLC)
  • Follow up and identify weak areas for improvement
  • Translate high level demands into actual user stories for implementation

The role is based in Denmark or Sweden.

Your experience and background:  

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in large company as a process owner
  • Experience working in an agile DevOps setup.
  • Familiar with cloud technologies (AWS, MS Azure)
  • Familiar with on-premise, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS setups
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Confident working with reporting tools. (PowerBI, Tableau, BMC Smart Reporting)
  • Experience working with ITSM tools (HELIX, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of ITIL and SAFe methodologies
  • Knowledge of release orchestration tools will be an advantage (XL Release, Terraform, etc.)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
