What’s in it for you?
This role is within our Global Online Digital team, which is using digital technologies to reinvent the experience of becoming a Volvo customer. There is no reason the experience of buying a car should be painful and difficult – it should be as enjoyable and exciting as actually having a new car. That is our mission. You will be working in a small team of DevOps engineers where there are shared responsibilities, but also areas where you will the main owner of a specific problem. You will be working in, or in close collaboration with our various product teams with Developers, Quality assurance engineers etc.

You should have start-up experience where you have quickly developed prototypes and catalysed product development in a fast paced, fluid environment. You are a hands-on developer with front-end experience. You are experienced with agile development and a champion of software development best practices. As we are working in a global organization it's important that you are able to cooperate with people from many different cultures, that you are able to work independently based on mutual goals and are both willing and able to share your knowledge with others directly or indirectly through written media. 

You need to be Fluent in English.

You and your skills

Experience of programming, testing and operational management of IT  systems and networks.

Hands on production experience with container orchestration (K8s - AKS,EKS) and containerization technology  (e.g. Docker) is must.

Experience in deploying Micro service Architecture, Applications, and supporting services as well as implementing and managing Devops CI/CD pipeline.

Experience in infrastructure automation using e.g. Terraform.

Exposure on serverless architecture. Interest and ability in solving problems related to these areas.

You have experience of the most commonly used programming and scripting languages, e.g. Python, Java, C#, Javascript, PowerShell etc. and Agile methodologies.

Interest in internet and application security as well as  experience in cloud-based solutions and management, in particular AWS and Azure.

Knowledge in defining and ensure implementations of Devops and Gitops related processes as well as experience in implementation and maintenance of distrubuted monitoring, tracing and logging infrastructure. (for example ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaegar).
