About our R&D - Platform Integration & Release  

We have come to an important step in the development of our new software-centric platform. Test and integration on the complete software and electronics system level are highly prioritized. The mission in our team is to bring integration-driven development and test into product creation to continuously demonstrate that we deliver the best electrical system in the automotive world. We are also held responsible to secure a stable and robust electrical system for Volvo Car’s new SW and electronics platforms Our group consists of teams working across Research and Development with test strategies and anatomies. We build the advanced fault tracing within base-technology. It is our governance to set integration-strategies and implementation plans, configuration management, and continuous integration strategies and plans. We also lead testing, integration, and analysis across our ART and R&D with regards to the complete electrical system to enable early testing and early failure detection.  

We are now looking for a Manager to lead our Complete Software and Electronics Test and Integration team  

To manage such a challenge, we would wish for a Team Manager with passion for coaching teams and people within embedded software systems and large-scale software development organizations. This person has a solid continuous integration background and hands-on practice within continuous integration testing. The mindset of this person must be people-centric with an ability to build and support strong empowered teams with a high level of specialist competence. We need a servant manager who can lead through people, who can listen and coach and is motivated by creating new solutions together with cross-functional teams. This person is creative, communicative, analytical, and curious and is driven by finding new ways forward by supporting your teams in delivering to the best of their ability.  

Role specifics – Team Manager  

You will be responsible for a team of 20-30 dedicated members. As their Team Manager you are responsible for creating development opportunities, establish long-term competence development, planning activities as well as recruiting for future key competences. It is within your scope to support the group in the day-to-day work, work to secure software integration, test-strategy development, and fault- and actively participate in the department’s management group.  

Requirements  

• MSc in Electrical and Software Engineering or similar relevant experience 

• Senior management experience from leading organizations with complex tasks and coaching empowered agile teams  

• Senior leadership experience from working on SW and/or test architecture in large-scaled software developing organization  

• At least 8 years of experience from working with embedded software systems and software test and integration  

• High communicational and cooperation skills   

• Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish and/or English  

• Strategic and delivery mindset 

Meritorious  

• Experience in implementation of CI pipelines for SW development  

• Experience in implementation of CM for SW development  

• Software coding experience  

• Agile frameworks and development such as SAFe
