ABB Robotics Global Solution Center for Machine Tending hire a skilled and dedicated software engineer with eyes for vision. Enter the exiting development of our new family of standardized robotics cells. • As an R&D engineer, you get a varied job where you will work both independently and with ABB colleagues all over the world.
• You will be part of the R&D team that works with the latest technology for applications for Vision-controlled robots.
• You will work with software design in Windows, mainly in .Net and C #. The work includes everything, from specification to implementation and testing. We work in close collaboration with our vision component vendors.
• The role also includes training and education of both our internal employees as well as external customers/integrators.
• The R&D department is also responsible to provide advanced support, both internally and externally.
• You share ABB's core values of security and integrity, which means you take responsibility for your own actions while feeling responsible for your colleagues and business.

• We are looking for you who have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or worked at least 5 years' with similar tasks in the industrial automation field.
• You have good knowledge in digital image processing, it is a great advantage if you have experience of OpenCV and the knowledge of vision systems software such as Halcon and Matrix.
• You have extensive experience and feel comfortable with programming in C ++ / C # / .Net and you know what it takes to deliver software professionally.
• As a person, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. You are pedagogically inclined with the ability to explain complex functions in a simple way.
• You are driven, orderly and curious and you find it easy to work with others.
• You have a strong desire to learn new things and grow together with your colleagues and customers.
• Working in a global company, you need to master Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Other languages are meriting.
