Equity and Futures/Derivatives Trader, Stockholm

You must be able to act swiftly and be flexible, whether it is due to market change, organizational changes or new IT systems. You will play an active role in developing the futures- and derivatives trading desk, where you will have a significant role in forming and developing our platform in close collaboration with the head trader on the desk.

The Equity and Future Trading is a team in Nordea Asset Management, based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. The primary task for the team is to source liquidity to our portfolios managers and decide and execute trading strategies effectively. This job is based in Stockholm where we execute Nordic equities and global futures – both fixed income and equity futures.

What you’ll be doing:

You will focus and drive the futures and derivatives trading forward. You must have a passion for developing trading technologies/systems within the area and desire to influence how the futures/derivatives trading will look like.

You will be communicating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, which is why strong communication skills in English and one of the Nordic languages is a requirement.

It is expected that you have experience with equity and futures/derivatives trading, monitoring and improving trading strategies, systems and processes.

Your professional profile and background:

• At least 3 years of relevant equity and global futures/derivatives trading experience in either a Nordic or International Investment Bank, Hedge Fund or Asset Manager.
• Key professional competences:
  • Ability to execute high volumes of trades in different countries/regions simultaneously
  • Ability to apply pre- and post-trade analytics, liquidity analysis and coordinate trades across multiple regions.
  • Experience in futures and derivatives trading
  • Strong quantitative skills with everyday work experience
  • Strong analytical skills with an eye for details in every aspect of the trading process
  • Familiarity with compliance policies regarding best execution
  • Master degree in finance, economics, or other relevant discipline

The candidate is expected to be fluent in English and preferable in one of the Nordic languages.
