Summer Internship - Parts Supply & Logistics i Göteborg

Each year, Volvo Cars welcome students as Summer Interns to our sites in Gothenburg, Olofström, Skövde och Lund. As a Summer Intern at Volvo Cars you can work in production, in one of our storages or at the office. Spending a few weeks in our team is a great way for you to get an insight to what life at Volvo Cars can be like and gives you a basic understanding of our operations. It also provides you with a strong network in our organization, which can be of value in your future career.  The number of Summer intern positions and work areas varies from year to year.

What’s in it for you?
Parts Supply & Logistics is responsible for accessories and spare parts availability for Volvo Cars markets globally. The responsibility includes the entire material flow from supplier to customer. The business is built around central warehouses in Gothenburg, US, China, as well as additional supporting warehouses around the world.

We are now looking for summer interns to join our team!

What you will do
You will play a key part in one of our five agile teams: purchasing planning, inventory management, campaign coordination, customer support or transport execution. Please specify in your application which area/areas you are interested in.

Do you fit the profile?

We are looking for students who are currently studying B.Sc. or M.Sc. in logistic, engineering, or business or equivalent and who has a great Interest in supply chain.

Competence and experience are important, but personality and potential are key.

We see that you are a service minded individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish. This role requires analysis of data therefore an interest and experience in this area will be key to succeed in this role. It is also important to have good interpersonal skills and social competence, to be able to build relations with stakeholders and suppliers.

Duration

Period for summer internship is between 1 June – 31 August 2021, max 10 weeks. Start and end time to be discussed with recruiting manager.
