Senior/Compliance Officer in Nordea Funds i Stockholm

Would you like to be part of the Fund Compliance team in Nordea Funds Ltd.? We are looking for a senior or junior compliance officer who will support and challenge the business to ensure that a high level of compliance is maintained in Nordea Funds.

Nordea Funds is Finnish Fund Company with branches in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. Through its branch structure, Nordea Funds Ltd manages around 250 funds registered in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway with more than two million unit-holders.

You'll join a small cross Nordic team of four to five compliance officers. Fund Compliance is an independent function, which is part of Nordea Group Compliance. Fund Compliance is responsible for compliance risk management and supports Nordea Funds Ltd to be compliant with laws and regulations thereby ensuring sound business and fair treatment of our unit holders. We do this by identifying and assessing compliance risks, by providing advice, training, monitoring and reporting on compliance risks within all parts of Nordea Funds Ltd.

What you will be doing:

• Securing a continued high level of compliance in Nordea Funds
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders within Nordea Funds and Nordea Group Compliance
• Providing proactive support through advice and training as well as constructively challenge the business through risk assessment, assurance activities and reporting
• Maintaining an expert competence level in 1-2 regulatory areas and generalist level for other relevant compliance risks  
• Reporting on material deficiencies and compliance risks to senior management and the board.  You will do this by contributing to team efforts  
• Maintaining a good understanding of the business and best practice in compliance risk management related to products, processes and regulatory changes  
• Participating in projects and development of Nordea Funds’ products from a compliance perspective

Depending on whether you apply to the senior or junior position, following qualifications will support you to succeed in this role:

• You are or seek to become a trusted advisor by combining your regulatory competence with an understanding of the business to ensure an effective compliance risk management
• You have relevant working experience in a compliance, legal or risk management role, preferably from the fund industry
• You are or will become a strong communicator and are willing to influence the business while having the ability to listen and understand others’ point of view
• You have a good attention to details while still being able to grasp the bigger picture
• You have proactive attitude coupled with a smile
• You are self-motivated and are able to take independently full ownership of your tasks/responsibilities while aiming for high quality deliverables, but also enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to team efforts
• You possess in addition to Swedish language fluent English skills, both spoken and written
• You are used to and comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
• You have a relevant Master’s Degree
