EMMSTechnology is a non-profit that aims to empower women of colour and other minorities in the tech industry by creating a community and offering workshops, networking meetups, mentoring, and more. We believe access to tech is a human right. The way we want to achieve that is by inspiring and providing opportunities to raise the number of WOC in the tech industry. This job would be completely remote and you’d be working with a group of Women of Colour from different backgrounds, working in different fields that want to make a change in the tech world. Through EMMSTech you will be able to connect with amazing companies and your network will grow immensely. You would get first hand access to all events and gatherings that EMMSTech participates in and are invited to. We care deeply about your personal development, working with us would give you a chance to grow and develop your skills and to continually learn. You would take responsibility for your own work and work when it fits you best and be your own boss, so no micromanagement. You’ll be able to have a flexible schedule and creative environment. We hire based on potential so don’t worry if you don’t have a super extensive resume. Community Manager Our community is at the core of our organisation, and we’re working heavily on leveraging and expanding this. As Community Manager, you get to interact firsthand with our community and witness the change that we make. You’d be working closely with our CEO in this role. Responsibilities * Onboard new members * Replying and engaging current community members * Strategy for developing the community * Create mingle activities for the community and potential members You... * Have excellent communication skills * Have project management skills * Keep up with trends and news in the Tech/STEM industry * Have good English skills * Have skills in a Scandinavian language (Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian) Time * This is a 20% position - approximately 8 hours a week. Payment * 1.500-2.500 SEK depending on experience
