What´s in it for you
At ART Traction Battery SW we are responsible to develop SW systems for all our electrical vehicles. You will be part of a system team that takes the overall responsibility for the Battery Management System including both BMS HW and SW. The team is also responsible for SW/HW requirements breakdown including alignment regarding system safety and new system requirements. As part of the team you will also be expected to support the long-term strategy and concepts within the ART
What you´ll do
You will be part of a BMS team (Battery Management System) that develop and realize the BMS HW functionality as well as HW driver diagnostic requirements and ensure S/W implementation and validation together with system architects and SW teams.
With your electronic engineering skills, you will ensure that the BMS system requirements, ISO 26262 and EMC/EMI compliance is fulfilled. You will also support the ART Traction Battery SW in electronics and electrical area in general.
Do you fit the profile?
We believe that the right candidate has a technical education of electronic systems at university level and experience in electronics design.
You have the ownership of electronics attribute requirements (EMC and Electrical Performance) as well as low-level functional requirements of BMS and manage compliance towards Volvo Cars Standards and HW SOW with suppliers. You will also follow up prototype vehicle builds and manufacturing of prototypes and perform electronic design reviews and be responsible for system safety implementation on HW - FTTI, FMEDA management and review. You also need to support and develop concept selection for key components like MCU, ASICs etc as well as RFI / RFQ phase with suppliers. In your role as electronics engineer within BMS systems you have close collaboration with Base Tech SW engineers to ensure HW specifications fulfils the requirements.
You will also ensure that suppliers understand and implements our requirements and perform verifications
You are fluent in English and have deep knowledge of EMC/EMI, electronics design, testing of electronics, electrical system, and interfaces.
You are familiar with ISO16750 and ISO 26262 and writing requirements on electronic components and systems.
As a person you need to have a truly interest in electronic design and EMC. It is an advantage if you have experience within automotive electrification.
