E&SW cluster – SWF Artifacts & Quality Artifacts & Quality Solution Specialist Description

The Artifacts & Quality Solution Specialists are key in proactively providing effective, scalable and reliable solutions to the In-Car Digital Software Development Release Trains at Volvo Cars Product Creation.

As a member of Artifacts & Quality you contribute to the Software Factory, a major provider of software development services at Volvo Cars that secure continues flow of the In-Car software release to end users.

The Software Factory portfolio includes a wide range of services in the CI/CD area incl. software configuration management, build automation, artifacts management, code analysis, and self-service solutions for >1500 software engineers globally.

  • You’ll work with complex tasks and coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a global cross company environment.
Competence profile

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, operate, and support large scale solutions for artifact management as well as
    systems to support software security, quality, and compliance. 
  • Provide expert level support on the usage of the provided solutions.
  • Contribute to boosting team knowledge and continuous improvements.

 

Required experience / skills

  • Documented experience of designing, implementing, documenting, testing, administrating, and operating solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in one of below areas. Experience of several preferred.  
    • Deployment of binary management solutions, specifically Artifactory.
    • Deployment and use of open source security and compliance solutions including Black Duck.
    • Deployment of static code analysis solutions including SonarQube.
  • Strong experience from cloud-based deployments. Azure and Terraform knowledge are merits.
  • Experience from deployment of High Availability solutions.
  • Good understanding of Linux servers and operating systems.
  • Good understanding of service operations including backup.
  • Experience from deployments in virtualization technologies and containers including Docker, Containerd, K8s.
  • Experience from provisioning tools, automation, and script languages incl. Ansible, Python, Rundeck, and bash.
  • Experience from working with Git version control systems.
  • Understanding of CI/CD – use and operations.
  • Familiar with embedded Software development.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Expedience from Volvo Cars and/or automotive industry is meritorious.
  • Experience from working in an agile framework.

Required Education

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
Assignment
  • Work location: On-site. Gothenburg, Sweden.
  • Working time: 40 hours per week.
