In the Vehicle Data & Diagnostics department within the unit Connected Experience, we put high quality vehicle data at the fingertips of engineers and enable uptime through diagnostics. We are growing and we are therefore now looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking – specifically a passionate System Verification engineer with hands-on in test automation and experience in HIL and RIG development.
 
What you will do

You will get the chance to work with a team that is the center of test and verification for our department so you will interact with many teams and stakeholders.

Who you are 
We believe that you have a M.Sc or B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with an inclination and passion for Test and Verification. 

You possess excellent communication skills in English in both speaking and writing since you will be working in a very diverse surrounding.

Together with the Agile team, you will work in the development of CI environment (Zuul/Jenkins) and ensuring that the different build pipelines are up and running for building, testing, packaging, and releasing software. The team is also involved in the development of test automation tools & libraries. You and the team will be supporting the developers with debugging and analysis of problems that occur in the CI system.

We expect a candidate who has a keen interest in Continuous Integration used in modern SW development as well as a passion for creating a stable development environment giving our developers a fast feedback loop. You are used to solving problems together with others and with the help of others. You have a strong customer focus, enjoys the possibility to influence and you love to be part of a team where we take our own initiatives and take pride in your own and the team’s deliveries.

To be successful in this assignment one needs to also have experience from analysing, troubleshooting and debugging problems in a complex software build system, both compilation and test logs as well as system logs on the build machines. As well as giving support to different parts of the organization such as developers, testers and management. It is important to have an interest in the automation of tasks, as you will also be involved in development of test automation libraries in Python. Very good knowledge about CI/CD systems, Git, Gerrit as well as Docker and Python Programming is required. Skills in C++ and working with cloud-based solutions are a plus.

Competence demands: Must have: CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Python. Nice to have: Skills in C/C++.
