Our Retail Distribution Center in Eskilstuna is on an exciting expansion journey! The DC today consists of more than 350 ambitious, committed and motivated H&M colleagues who share our values and take responsibility for the logistics operations and distribution of fashion items for our retail customers across Sweden. The scope will grow to also include Norway and Iceland and the team in Eskilstuna will expand to being more than 400 colleagues.

Job Description

As a DC Manager, you achieve results together with your teams with a clear strategy, goal setting, planning, and a consistent follow up, always involving your people. As part of a fast-growing business, the day to day is varied: you switch seamlessly between operative and strategic actions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically plan, lead, and monitor performance of DC ops. with regards to efficiency, service, & cost
  • Manage to comply with Standard Operating Principles across all areas of the DC & define local DC working instructions in a sustainable way​
  • Plan and manage staff of DC according to capability needs and forecasted capacity requirements​
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities for local DC activities to enhance operational performance​
  • Lead & develop the Mgmt. team to recruit, develop & retain workforce​
  • Ensure appropriate recruitment & training of new & existing DC staff​
  • Closely collaborate with Regional Sales & Ops to serve day-to-day requests from Sales & align DC ops. with FC quantity and service needs​
  • Monitor & ensure overall garment care and non-commercial goods standards​
  • Identify risks and resolve issues in daily DC ops to ensure high performance and efficiency​
  • Set, facilitate & follow up goals accord. to H&M standards ​
  • Ensure high quality and in-time sustainability reporting​
  • Improve sustainability standards and strive to minimize Co2 emission​
  • Be updated on, and follow, local laws and regulations​
  • Ensure employee safety, well-being and commitment to H&M group’s approach to Human Rights​
  • Ensure professional handling of health, safety, legal- or security issue​

Qualifications
  • Deep expertise in running large DC operations
  • Strong communication & coordination skills
  • Excellent understanding of local DC operations, specifics, and capabilities
  • Good knowledge of global standards of operating procedures, security and sustainability
  • Holistic view to look at the bigger perspective with a visionary approach
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, co-creation and people development by empowering others
  • Agile mindset with a positive attitude to change and meaningful growth
  • Inclusive & empathetic towards others whilst encourage diversity
  • Self-awareness, understanding your impact on others and contribution to the whole group

This is a full-time permanent position with a starting date as soon as possible. You will report to the Regional Logistics Manager for Region North Europe.
