We are now searching for a Senior Pattern Maker that enjoys working in a fast-paced international environment to join our Product Development team at HQ in Stockholm. This is a key role to deliver the best possible consumer experience when it comes to fit, style and silhouette of our products which is highly important in our “consumer first” strategy.

As a Senior Pattern Maker at Peak Performance you will play an important role in the pattern making process as well as developing our basic pattern library to align all our fits and body measurements leading the pattern team for alignment. A lot of focus will be to drive the product development process with our designers and product developers, on time and in quality. With your seniority and experience you will contribute with ideas, improvements, and great execution for a perfect silhouette and fit – always with our consumers top of mind.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the pattern makers on consolidation work for all patterns across the collection for fit and measurement alignment. Implement standards of fit and pattern throughout the overall assortment.
• Lead and drive the basic pattern creation and selection process, and understand future business needs to determine future basic pattern requirements.
• Develop basic and model patterns, drive the pattern creation of fully graded technically innovative basic and fit critical model patterns in cooperation with all teams based on target consumer demands. Maintain the information in the product creation system and ensure that new patterns are tested.
• Evaluate, create, and implement standard grading rules to ensure consistency in fit and contribute actively in terms of fit/principle pattern guidelines.
• Understand and consider relationship between pattern/material usage/yields during pattern creation as it relates to cost and our sustainability goals.
• Sparring partner to design and product development teams on pattern and fit.
• Develop training plans and manuals for the global pattern, quality, and product development teams (i.e. how to measure manual).
• Mentor new hires and junior staff in pattern making / fit.
• Work on an ongoing basis on new solutions to reach creative pattern goals, by using new methods and systems and/or new constructions.
• Where applicable create virtual prototypes to increase speed and efficiency of the product creation process.
• Close cooperation with our production and quality team in Hong Kong and global suppliers.

• Minimum 10+ years of industry relevant experience in pattern making for technical and casual/sportswear apparel in a leading role.
• Technical college/fashion school training in pattern making / grading, “Meisterbrief” or similar education.
• Team lead and international experience at senior level is required.
• Advanced skills in Gerber or similar CAD programs.
• Knowledge in CLO or similar 3D programs.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft office package and Illustrator.
• Excellent English language proficiency, both verbal and written.
• Excellent technical knowledge in terms of technical outerwear relating to garment fit, construction and quality and excellent attention to detail.
• Tailor experience is an advantage.
• Maker setting and “Design to cost” experience.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate designs on model level regarding pattern execution/engineering.
• A keen interest in innovation and a passion for product.
