Group Accounting consists of ten dedicated employees who are responsible for the Volvo Cars consolidation and for providing financial data on consolidated level for Volvo Car Group to ensure timely, accurate and uniform data to internal and external parties. 
 

We are now looking for an Operational Lead for Consolidation and Reporting within Group Accounting. The main responsibility will be to ensure an efficient Consolidation and Reporting Process, by creating clarity and help the team to prioritize, as well as take decisions and lead the team through their daily operational activities. The Consolidation and Reporting team is responsible for the preparation of the Group financial statements, in accordance with IFRS. Deliveries include; Financial section of the Group Annual and interim reports, Coordination of the Group External Audit, External Reporting to the owner, Group Actual Analysis, guidance to the organization in advanced IFRS related questions and lead in projects related to the continuous development of the Group Accounting function. 

Working in the Group Accounting department gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Cars, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. 


Main Responsibilities

•    Operational responsibility in the day-to-day work in the consolidation and reporting process.
•    First point of contact for operational questions from the team with a mandate to take decisions up to a certain materiality level. 
•    Ability to represent Group Accounting in certain strategic projects/initiatives and be the stand-in for the Head of Group Accounting when needed. 
•    Work together with the Head of Group Accounting to create clarity on the how in order to balance and secure both the day-to-day work and a successful execution of key initiatives for the future.
•    Provide guidance in advanced IFRS accounting questions.


Required qualifications

•    University degree in Business Administration - Major in Accounting and/or Finance.
•    Extensive experience from consolidation and group accounting and reporting. 
•    Proven leadership skills.
•    Ability to create clarity on initiatives and transform them into real execution. 
•    Minimum 10 years of experience in finance from either a large listed entity and/or audit environment.
•    Extensive experience from consolidation and group accounting and reporting. 
•    Extensive knowledge in IFRS accounting standards. 
•    Solid Experience using Hyperion FM or other large consolidation systems.
•    Extensive knowledge in Excel.
•    Fluent English verbally and in writing.
•    Experience from implementation of a new Consolidation tool is a plus.
