HIL Engineer to Volvo Cars i Göteborg

We have come to an important step in the development of our new software-centric platform and our group, Core Computer Test and Integration is an essential part of the journey. The group consists of teams responsible for development and maintenance of test environments. We integrate software, test it with the test cases written in the teams and follow up on the results in a Continuous Integration chain (CI). This so that we can ensure high quality and robustness in what we do.
 

One of our teams is responsible for the test environments for the new platform. In the team we are designing rigs and working with software and electronic domain integration striving to maximize the test-value. The rigs will continuously integrate and provide feedback of the electrical system. We improve quality by enabling automated integration and visualize status of the system-under-test.
 

We offer an exciting environment that are highly prioritized, and we are now expanding and looking for an engineer with strong experience within the field of test environment development with the task to design, develop, construct, and maintain Hardware In the Loop (HIL) rigs, including both HW and SW. Our test environments will be a key enabler for increasing the stability and robustness for the new developed Platform.
 

What you will do
As a member of our agile team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the entire process from design of our HIL rigs to fault tracing and maintenance when the rigs are up and running. Create technical specifications, be involved in the procurement process of required equipment, build up assemble and configure the test environment.
Develop and configure simulation software for integration into an operational test environment. Create health tests and regression tests and connect rigs to CI toolchain. Make sure that our HIL rigs meet our own and other stakeholders test needs. 

Do you fit the profile?
You possess at least Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. We see that you have some years of experience from building HIL rigs, preferably Vector, and automated test systems for real time test environment. You are proficient in programming, python and/or C++, and preferably experienced working with CANoe, CANalyzer and CAPL. We believe you have good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders. We believe you enjoy great teamwork, are proactive, creative, driven, and willing to share knowledge and take responsibility. 

Meritorious 

• Experience of working with version and revision control systems e.g. Git
• Knowledge of Jenkins or similar automation tool
• Experience from working with Agile development process
• Linux systems 
• Experience in automotive electrical architectures 
• Knowledge in protocols, Ethernet, Flex Ray, CAN and LIN
