As a Vendor Manager you will be responsible for H&M’s relationship with external vendors, enabling culture fit, maximising vendor performance and creating an optimal way of working.

In your role as Vendor Manager you will align vendor relationships across the IT-department on a strategic and tactical level.

 

Your responsibilities

 

The job of an H&M IT Vendor Manager comes with lots of responsibility – and lots of fun. Your to do-list includes:

- Build and lead long term relationships with appointed vendors, stakeholders and colleagues

- Be  accountable for delivering advice and support to stakeholders

- Rationalise, evaluate and develop the vendor portfolio

- Assess vendor relationships, overall performance and compliance with H&M needs and road map

- Communicate with and coordinate the internal stakeholders in order to develop the vendor relationships in the right direction

- Develop, implement and manage our vendor models and strategic vendor development plans

- Be responsible for developing, maintaining and reporting on KPI targets for all vendors under VM control

- Scout the market and initiate contact with potential new vendors in cooperation with stakeholders in the organisation.

- Drive the development of VM tools and processes and the way of working with vendor relationship management

- Support the work to compile and aggregate the IT departments total vendor performance view

- Experience of managing vendors from a buyer perspective or customers from a supplier perspective

- Non-prestigious team player with positive attitude, and excellent communication skills

- Genuine interest in people and in building positive relationships

- Ability to identify and focus on the most important areas and tasks

- Entrepreneurship, a desire to build for the future

- Experience from negotiations with suppliers or corresponding work with customers

- Knowledge of and interest in the structures of global outsourcing deals and legal/commercial setups

- Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken

The IT department is an important part of the company’s business and carries out operations, software development and maintenance of the company’s systems and business applications. Our goal is to supply as cost efficient IT solutions as possible in order to offer our customers “Fashion and quality at the best price”. The IT-department currently consist of approx. 1800 people in Stockholm and Borås and conduct business virtually all over the globe. The H&M group includes in addition to H&M the brands COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, & Other Stories and H&M Home. As an IT-department, we work with all brands.
