Stakater AB is currently looking for passionate fresh graduates to join our growing SAAP (Stakater App Agility Platform) team that develops and operates SAAP (aka Kubernetes-As-A-Service), a public cloud service based on Red Hat OpenShift

What you will do

The duties can be split into two main roles:

Functional part

Developing automation software to provision, upgrade, monitor and heal a large fleet of RedHat OpenShift clusters deployed across multiple public clouds and bare metal.

The automation is based on Operator Framework and other tooling around monitoring, CI/CD, access management, etc. That means writing mostly in Golang, extending the Kubernetes API, and writing wrappers for public cloud environments (primarily AWS, and then GCP).

Of course, there will always be work on improving SOPs, alerts, and all sorts of toil for performing maintenance tasks and remediating problems in our environment.

On-Shift/On-Call

You will be responsible for production OpenShift clusters which are running on the public cloud side.It's a job where you will combine knowledge and skills from different career paths, e.g. Development, Clouds, Logging, Monitoring, Maintenance, Testing, Alerting, etc.

You will have to make sure the infrastructure is scalable, resilient and secure. Here you will be dealing with incidents, root cause analysis and any other improvement activity efforts against SLA and error budgets.

• Bachelor/Master IT students (2+ years) or looking for master thesis
• Can program in at least one language
• Problem solver with solid analytical skills
• Strong learning attitude
• ​​Ability to challenge the status quo: we expect you to challenge solutions if they don't provide impact to Stakater customers
• Willingness to learn Golang and Kubernetes
• Passion to build world's leading fully managed DevSecOps platform

Big plus if you know any of the following

• Python, Golang or Nodejs
• Docker & Docker compose
• Helm, Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift
• Exposure to application development regardless Front/Back-end
• Certified in any relevant area

No explicit DevOps experience is required for this position. A positive attitude towards learning will go a long way.
