Our department is working with many different areas from car feature development, SW architectural design, SW build tools & CI pipelines and system analyses solving issues other teams have trouble figuring out themselves. The teams are working in an agile way where they have great independence, ownership and trust. We have a warm and relaxed atmosphere where you will be an important contributor to the team. In our team you will become a software test engineer working and supporting through all phases of software development - design, build, test and integration. Our software will run on emulators as well as hardware rigs and finally the car itself. You will build the next generation of Volvo cars. 

Team and role specifics
We are building up a new team to maintain and develop a Python based test framework to help engineers to test their code easier, more efficient and automated in CI pipelines. You will be part of both developing the test framework and new automated test cases.  Testing will focus on both non-functional tests such as CPU performance and stability, as well as overarching functional tests on a system level. You will also help other teams, enabling them to use our framework and test their code in a more efficient way. We are rapidly growing and welcoming new colleagues.

You and your skills
You are a humble person who wants to join our new and inclusive team. You enjoy great  teamwork, are proactive, creative, driven, willing to share your experience and knowledge, and take responsibility. You have a quality-oriented mindset and enjoy solving problems together with your team. You can also navigate your way through ambiguous and undefined problems. You have a MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. You are self-going with at least 3 years of experience in the field of verification.

Required experience:
•    Test development, test automation and analysis
•    3+ years Python development
•    Embedded systems
•    Linux
 
Good to have
•    Working with Test Frameworks such as Pytest and Robot Framework
•    Deploying automated tests to Continuous Integration (CI) tool chain 
•    Test tool development
•    Test metrics and visualization
•    Understanding of C++ or C development and debugging
