Job Description

Welcome to Customer Commerce Delivery area and our team Site Management/Portfolio Brand! We are a part of the Customer Domain within Business Tech.

As a team we are on an exciting journey, building the future and empower product teams to ensure our Portfolio brands' shopability through a fast and stable site experience. The Portfolio brands are COS, Weekday, Monki, Other stories and Arket.

As a Release Manager you are responsible for managing complex cross cutting initiatives including, but not limited to, technical activities, new product development, implementations and coordination of different product teams, areas and domains and their activities during the initiative lifecycle. The job includes strategic analysis and technical expertise.

The Release Manager creates basis for decisions as well as hands on troubleshooting different problems in different product areas and business operation functions over the whole setup. An additional focus area within the job, is to discover options and refine product coordination processes by using existing and new tools to achieve the expected outcome of cross cutting initiatives.​

The Release Manager has great leadership skills, believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust. Working with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. Delivering exceptional customer and business results​.


As a release manager for ECOM platforms for all Brands within the H&M group you are the overall responsible person for the wellbeing of our releases. You have multiple stakeholders that you collaborate with and communicate with when needed. The release manager is the focal point between the business teams, site management, developing product teams, tech enablement and application operations​

  • Task that is included (but not excluded to) in the work of a release manager:​
  • Create overall release timelines together with relevant stakeholders (business,
  • site management, application operation, product area leads)​
  • Align with operations on overall deployment activities, requests and timings​
  • Secure release progress and wellbeing​
  • Take immediate actions if the release is not going as planned​
  • Communicate release status status to stakeholders​
  • Facilitate internal Go/No go meetings prior to Common Go/No go meeting​
  • Participate in H&M common Go/No go decision and represent ECOM​
  • Facilitate Cross Release forum with SAP​
  • Prepare and organize Defect walkthrough​
  • Ownership of Release retro​
  • Monitor release on TGL night​
  • Monitor PGLS phase after release​
  • Improvements of release process (future state of release mgnt)​
