Volvo Cars is looking to grow its UX Guide team with an Illumination 3D/vizualisation artist.

In this role, you will create 3D  digital vizualisation material of all lights in the car, both for interior and exterior, throughout the user journey (using Vred, Unity and Alias). Work closely with the illumination and motion designers to represent their concepts in 3D.

We believe that you excelle in the following areas:

• Create 3D visuals. Place lights in latest VRED file given by the Viz team. Prepare files for images, VRED and virtual reality design reviews. Work with the art director and illumination designer to define all lights on the car (color, placement, intensity).
• Align with Interior and Exterior design to show illumination intent.
• Animate lights in Unity from DSM5 (prepare the full car INT + EXT). Replicate the animations created by the Motion design.
• Have working knowledge of 3D software to handle 3D data.
• Align with the Colour & Material and the Viz team to make sure we have latest materials in the VRED files.
• Align with digital modellers to get the latest geometry changes.
• Align with Viz team before all virtual reality reviews.
• Follow sprint demos to see design changes that would impact illumination.
• Able to lead Virtual Reality based design review of illumination.
