The needs include high-g impact events as well as low-g events, such as braking or steering, to capture the real-world context. Human body models with active muscle control are the tools addressing these needs and will therefore help drive future leading-edge safety development, contributing to Volvo Cars’ leading position in safety.

•    Perform simulations and advanced model development
•    Contribute to external and internal exposure of Volvo Cars’ state-of-the-art safety tool development (e.g., through expert groups, scientific articles, and public outreach)
•    Act as a reference person in the area of HBMs and spread knowledge by teaching, mentoring and coaching

You and your skills

You have great analytic skills and a talent for creating synthesis-based insights with a holistic view. Also, you are a good communicator with the pedagogical abilities and engagement needed to present and explain these insights to an audience who might not know your area very well, in a way that allows them to apply your findings within their areas of expertise.

You have a collaborative mindset and believe that teamwork is a stronger driver of results than solo acts, therefore you continuously contribute to the objectives of your agile team.
