Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, self-directed Marketing Manager to develop and grow the cloud computing businesses in the Nordic region. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting technology business. We will open our customer facing (digital and physical) experience area in our AWS Stockholm Office to make cloud technology more tangible and engage with customers in a new and more interactive way.
For this new Experience Area, we are looking for an Event Marketing Manager who will manage the full Experience program, from program strategy to campaign and event execution. You will drive the overall program strategy and implementation working backwards from the customers from a Nordic perspective together with local business. This means that you constantly will improve the customer experience, identify gaps and opportunities to enhance the physical and virtual experience.
You will also work operationally to develop, execute and measure highly impactful customer focused AWS hosted and partner events and campaigns - end-to-end, including concept, content, digital setup, demand generation, budgeting and sponsoring, design, staffing, onsite support, execution as well as follow up and reporting. You will own some events entirely and be involved in all large scoped activities in the Nordics. The role integrates closely with the Nordic area and regional teams across marketing and sales to drive customer engagements, share best practices and scale processes beyond the Nordic area. As a member of the Nordic Marketing team the is expected to step up and own important workstreams outside of the Experience area ex in digital marketing. This role includes interaction with customers, internal stakeholders, and AWS partners.
The role is based in Stockholm.
Key job responsibilities
• Partner with the EMEA Experience program team to define and implement tools and content
• Serve as Nordic Experience program manager including strategy and operational planning. Collaborate with the Nordics Partner Marketing manager to develop and manage an event portfolio of Partner & with Partner events
• Manage budgets and cost saving opportunities related to events
• Manage the event agency relationship and build processes for repeatable and scalable event activities
• Serve as Nordic Experience Area centre of excellence defining best practices, building scalable processes templates, building reports, working with agencies & vendors etc.
• Evaluate, measure and report on strategic effectiveness and ROI for overall event program efforts
• Drive meetings, timelines, and internal and external teams on deliverables
• Lead & manage all-up quarterly & annual reviews of the program to identify opportunities to improve and streamline
Passion for technology, for B2B segments and an entrepreneurial spirit. You have a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure entrepreneurial environment.
Ability to build & execute a program marketing strategy with clear goals & objectives that aligns to the company’s business and supports growth targets and you will be able to manage the implementation, tracking, efficiency and measurement of the Experience Program including brief and oversee the work of internal and external agencies
Experience with marketing automation, with email marketing, analysis tools and Sales Channels. You need to be extremely data-driven and comfortable with planning and executing on various stages of marketing campaigns, initiatives and programs, including webinars, digital marketing campaigns, lead generation programs, promotions, events.
Experience in writing and/or editing marketing content
Manage and monitor dedicated marketing spend, optimize marketing results with clear ROI reporting as well as collecting data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing campaigns.
Fluency in English and some of the Nordics languages. Oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or relevant field of study.
Experience in program marketing and event planning/execution
Experience working in rapid growth companies and industries
Knowledge about cloud computing market and technologies
Skill to use BI tools, Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau and other digital marketing tools
