What´s in it for you
The Manufacturing Engineering Body Team within Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for the commissioning and the introduction of new car programs, and processes in the Volvo Cars Plants. We work with solutions from the early concept to industrialization with the purpose of creating a total and balanced delivery. The team is responsible of developing our new production lines and modifying our existing lines for our next generation of cars.

We are now looking for a Geometry Assurance Analyst Body who wants to join forces with our Manufacturing Engineering Commodity Sub Assembly Team in taking our industrial systems – to the next level!

What you will do

In this role you will be participating in different projects, initiatives, work in a global network with all Body Departments and Plants worldwide!


As Geometry Assurance Analyst you will be involved in securing geometry for both products and processes. Hood, doors, tailgates will be some of the products you will be working with, supporting the team with setting tolerances, references and demands. 


Work is focused on the early stages of projects with cross-functional teams within Manufacturing Engineering and Product Creation. You will also support the team by doing analyzes for instance on running production products to set reasonable demands on new concepts and solutions. 


Software used in daily work are Catia V5, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, Cm4D, polyWorks and GOM Inspect. 

 

Who you are
We believe that you communicate well in English and have a B.Sc or M.Sc within Automation, Mechanical or other relevant knowledge. We value and find your practical experience meritorious. 


On a personal level, we think you are a self-driven team player with high ambitions and both a sense of ownership and dedication to quality in everything you do. You take a structured approach to your work and have analytical skills that you have successfully applied to complex engineering tasks in the past. You collaborate well with your peers and are open to share your work and expertise, and you are also not afraid to ask when you need their help. We believe you also enjoy contributing by suggesting new ideas and ways of thinking!
