To these ends, the Sustainability Business Advisor (SBA) will directly support AWS strategic customers (commercial and public sector) in their sustainability decarbonization journey and to meet their sustainability goals by leveraging AWS sustainability ecosystem of solutions, services and expertise. The SBA will also indirectly support customers through the enablement of teams and partners across AWS, infusing sustainability knowledge and practices into all of our customer-facing teams. The SBA will work across the customers teams from the C-Suite to the IT, product, strategy, procurement and sustainability teams.
The SBA will wear several hats: meeting and advising customers daily but also spending time on strategic horizontal issues that support our sustainability mission like advocacy, solutions and services development, sales enablement, strengthening and creating partnerships, develop processes to scale the team, etc. This is a hands-on role in a fast-evolving organization, and the successful candidate must be willing to get their hands dirty—on a given day you may engage with C-level executives in the morning, and do data entry in the afternoon. This SBA role will be based in Stockholm Sweden but have responsibilities across EMEA with a focus on the Nordics.
The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of leading sustainability practices as they pertain to multiple industries and possesses a strong track record in ESG related stakeholder engagement. This individual will have an understanding of
how to the environmental impacts of digital technologies and services.
Candidates should be prepared to:
Advise a wide range of customers on tools and methods to drive sustainability in their businesses. Provide support to commercial and public sector sales teams in need of sustainability support. Develop relationships with sustainability consortiums and leaders that are driving IT and datacenter requirements. Inform AWS teams on emerging sustainability requirements and trends emerging in the field.
Providing technical support to Energy & Environmental Policy team.
Be highly entrepreneurial with an ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
