In this role you will create and drive integrated communications plans using a mix of communications and PR strategies to increase awareness of new AWS services, programs, infrastructure, customers and partners with key audiences. You will also have the opportunity to use your creativity to form and execute on innovative PR plans and programs, influencing the perception of the company.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who has demonstrated the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization. Excellent writing skills are essential, as is extensive media relations experience working with press contacts across technology, business, vertical, and national publications. This individual will be a great storyteller, passionate about translating complex technology concepts into broadly digestible stories, and have a strong track record of placing stories proactively on a national and regional scale into print, online and broadcast outlets. They will drive positive news cycles, in-depth customer stories, and manage reactive issues. They will be a social media expert, with proven experience in delivering effective digital PR campaigns across earned, owned and paid channels.

This individual will be able to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, pay close attention to detail, exercise high-judgment while acting quickly, and be comfortable working with senior executives.....

This role can be based in our regional head office in Sweden (Stockholm), or in any of our other offices in Finland (Helsinki), Denmark (Copenhagen), Norway (Oslo) and will require periodic travel.

Key job responsibilities
• Develop and communicate AWS’s stories and strategic messages in liaison with AWS PR colleagues and local senior leadership
• Help deliver the PR strategy and plan for AWS in the Nordics, including communicating plans internally and securing leadership buy-in
• Develop and strengthen relationships with technology, vertical, and business press and influencers
• Proactively drive technology and customer focused stories in earned and owned channels
• Write and evolve local messaging, talking points and FAQ:s
• Write and edit content, such as press releases, blogs, social media posts, pitches, and communications plans
• Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected PR challenges with high-judgment and professionalism.
• Be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity, and resourceful in problem-solving.
• Manage third-party agencies and budget to support PR activities.

• Extensive public relations experience in B2B technology or related sector
• Fluency in Nordics language(s) and Business English
• Experience working alongside marketing, social, analyst relations and other functions to deliver integrated campaigns
• Experience managing media relations for technology brands, and has a network of media contacts
• Proven experience in comms project management (launch, program, event)
• Demonstrated success working with senior leaders in high-profile situations
• Experience in coaching executives before media engagements and providing them with communications counsel

• Native Finnish speaker/writer
• Passionate about excellence in written and verbal communications
• Experience from working with comms related to cloud technology
• An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously
• Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters
• A network of media contacts in the Nordics
• Ability to set strategy and execute flawlessly
• Outstanding attention to detail
