Our offer
Follow Outbound Logistics process for Volvo Car Corporation. The main purpose of this role is to secure the process of car distribution. Flow starts from Factory complete until the car is delivered to the Dealer, Importer, Sales Company Stock Location or Hand over point.
 
What you’ll do
In this exciting position you will get to monitor and co-ordinate the vehicle process at Volvo Cars including transports with mainly trucks, ships, trains or any other transport model. Your tasks include staying in daily contact with Carriers, Yards, Hubs, Compounds, National Sales Companies, Customs, IT systems and Vehicle plants for operational issues (delivery performance, capacity, launches, quality etc.).

You will support whole sales and Retail deliveries targets for National Sales Companies and Importers as well as manage SRM orders (purchase orders) for Logistics services. 

You will also monitor and co-ordinate activities in:

• The Outbound logistics process incl. National Sales Companies, NSC or Importers and take decisions when deviations occur.
• Events like quarter closings, model year’s changes, car launches and NSC open door activities.
• Together with the Transport Manager set priorities and book premium transports to support the Volvo Cars business from a holistic point of view.

Who you are
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years of working experience of with Logistics, or Supply chain, Outbound logistics being preferred. 

You have operational experience from Carriers, Yards/Compounds/Hubs, Vehicle plants, National Sales Companies, IT systems, Customs handling as well as Harbor operations such as car maintenance, PDI/VPC, Port Delivery & Inspection and Volvo Processing Center. You are skilled in leading and planning operations. You understand of freight forwarding rules/regulations such as inco terms/transport documentation/export documents.

It is meritorious if you have experience in IT systems:

• TMS, Transport Management System ( Kewill/IBM iHub)
• Atacq, Yard system
• CIS/Vista, Sales Order systems
• SAP for SRM orders
• Volvo internal systems like Cocpit, MSS Dashboard, Hercules/MPS

Knowledge of Volvo Cars Value chain, Volvo Cars Manufacturing System, IT systems interaction, production planning, production, distribution processes, market, sales companies and importers structures is also a plus.
